About This Course:
As the year slowly winds down, join us for a review on major information security events in 2017 and a brief look forward at what is to come in 2018. With so much activity in the cybersecurity space, new government regulation, and continued data breach reports; there are many lessons learned and takeaways to reflect on. Use these reflections as a launching pad for changes in 2018, to tackle the next round of cybercrime in banking.
Unfortunately, most our topics will reflect increasing cybercrime incidents related to ATMs, wire transfers, corporate accounts, or mobile devices. We will however provide some guidance on next steps to mitigate the risk around these key areas and identify next steps to improve programs such as third party management, cybersecurity, and employee education.
The cybersecurity issues we face tomorrow won’t be addressed by heroic actions. Our institutions need continual process improvements and the additional evolution of cybersecurity in their culture. Cybercrime will not be defeated with compliance along but through solid information security programs and well trained people.
