About This Course:
This course introduces the learner to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and provides detailed information regarding compliance with the BSA. It will familiarize the learner with the Act itself, in addition to how, when, and why to file Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).

This course also covers the characteristics indicative of an effective BSA/AML compliance program and identifies the multiple purposes they serve within financial institutions, and how to apply BSA requirements to other aspects of the institution's operations.

Importantly, this course also educates the learner about verifying customers identities, obtaining required identifying information about a customer from a third-party source when establishing a credit card account, the purpose of a Customer Identification Program (CIP), and recordkeeping procedures.
