This training session is intended to provide you with a basic understanding of commonly-used bankruptcy terminology. Agenda includes a brief overview of bankruptcy court structure, chapters, and proceedings.

It will describe the automatic stay imposed under Section 362 of the Bankruptcy Code and exceptions to the stay. It will describe how debts are discharged and available complaints and objections discharge and dischargeability of claims. Finally, it will describe how claims are commonly treated under the Bankruptcy Code
