Xactimate 27 is currently the most universally accepted estimating program in use by insurance adjusters. Don't let lack of Xactimate experience slow down your CAT adjusting career!
We have now combined our Basic and Advanced Classes into one 3-day complete course, designed for the intermediate level computer user unfamiliar with Xactimate 27. This course will prepare you to get into the field and begin writing estimates. It will cover:
- Basic data entry and estimate set-up
- Estimate "structure" and proper order/grouping
- "Dimensioning" (building rooms and elevations with width/length/height)
- Basic Sketch functions (building rooms in Sketch)
- Line item entry and several item search strategies
- How to build an estimate that will get through file review (and file review will appreciate!)
- How to build an estimate that will cover the actual cost to rebuild
- "Speed-estimating" techniques: templates, macros and more!

Texas All-Lines Adjuster and our
Florida Adjuster Pre-licensing Classes.
Xactimate Training RequirementsStudents attending this three-day Xactimate 27 workshop are expected to furnish their own laptop. The system requirements are as follows:
- Operating System - Operating systems on which Xactimate 27 is supported include Windows® XP / Vista / 7; it will not run on a Mac
- Processor Speed - A dual core processor recommended (Single core processor of 1.5 GHz minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)
- Video Card - Open GL 2.0-compatible graphics with 512 MB of VRAM and latest drivers recommended (Open GL 2.0-compatible graphics with 128 MB of VRAM minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)
- Memory - 2-4 GB of RAM recommended (1 GB of RAM minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)
- Hard Drive - 10 GB of available hard drive space recommended. A 7200+ RPM drive is recommended (5 GB of available hard drive space is required to run Xactimate. A 5400 RPM drive is required).
- Monitor Resolution - Monitor resolution set at 1024x600 or higher required
- Connectivity - A broadband Internet connection si recommended. Internet access is required. Internet Explorer 7+ is required.
- Optical Drive - A DVD drive is required to install Xactimate from disc.
- Xactimate 27 Software - if you do not have a subscription to the software, you may download a 30-day demo here.
Note: This course assumes that students enter with a basic level of proficiency in computer skills. Typing, manipulation of a mouse (including click, drag, and drop maneuver), and familiarization with a windows-based operating system are required skills.
